This switch works, but . the user must press a key multiple times to switch to the desired device, and . the switch has a nasty habit of skipping one or more ports when a button is pressed (thus skipping the desired one), and . as you may have to go through 3 USB ports to get to the one you want - this can be confusing for PCs or auxiliary devices. I bought this to connect two computers to a printer with two different operating systems. Works perfect. Easy setup, direct use. The lights are clear and easy to read. My only complaint is the extra cables I had to buy, they just send an extra cable. I think they should give you four since you can add up to four devices. The price was good for what I got. I would recommend this even to novice computer users.

I almost bought this product because of the wrong size on the product description. At the time of writing this item, product measurements are listed as 10 inches. I didn't want a 10 inch paperweight on my desk! Well I bought it anyway and it's a lot smaller: REAL dimensions are 4 x 4.5 x 1.25 inches and it only weighs a few ounces. how often does THAT happen?!?!) Both with my iBook and with my PC.
