It was useful for the purpose for which it was bought, but technology changes so quickly that once I updated the printer used for the connection it quickly became obsolete was used. My new printer uses wireless and bluetooth so no cable can compete when using two alternative methods that work well.

For the price, this cable is all you need. I use it to connect my printer to my computer. The length is long as my printer is on the top shelf of my desk and my computer is on the floor. The quality is pretty fantastic too, as it's not flimsy and the ends seem to be of pretty good quality (i.e. they snap nicely and stay in the sockets). You know the frustration that comes when your printer's cable just doesn't reach your computer port? Well here is the answer! These are two parts. The first comes from your printer and the second piece comes from the end of it, adding another 5 feet to the length. I know. I know. My old computer broke and needed replacing. To make matters worse, my beloved printer was not compatible with the new device. Spending less than $10 on this high-speed cable means I don't have to buy a new printer. Appreciated printer works better than ever and this cable saved me a lot of money. Just my honest opinion; I'm not the most computer savvy person in the world and I didn't get any crying quarters for my review.

The original cable for my dash cam came with a cigarette lighter socket, but that end of the cable was worn out and exposed so I needed an alternative. This works great as I have an adapter that fits my cigarette lighter and has 2 cigarette lighter sockets and 2 USB ports. The cord for this is also much, much stronger than what I had.
