Start in minutes: computer components

Installed the card in XP desktop. Windows recognized the card as soon as it booted and installed the drivers. I was online within minutes of opening the box. I didn't have to install the software that came with it. In a word: Cool!

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • too stupid

Warranty Warning! - Internal components

Belkin warranty [not good]! They only cover the warranty if you bought the product from one of their authorized resellers. Purchases from third party vendors that Belkin designates as resellers are not guaranteed. I purchased their product, brand new in factory packaging, but it came from a source not on their list. I actually bought 2 cards but one was DOA. After a few emails back and forth with Belkin, my only chance was to chalk this up as a lesson learned and I will never buy a Belkin…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Other Other

Great map, small setup problem

I installed the map on an old gateway machine that had Win98 installed. The card was recognized in the device manager, but not visible in the network area. After some browsing I found the Realtek 8139A chipset used, downloaded this driver and after installation everything was detected and now my network is working without any problems. I would have given the card 5 stars if it wasn't for the small driver issue.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Almost never

Works Great!: Computer Components

My wife was having network issues on her Dell desktop computer running Windows XP. After trying all the different changes to the network settings to no avail, I installed this card and disabled the internal network interface. XP recognized the card, it worked right out of the box with little to no setup, and all internet connections are slightly faster now. It was $13 well spent.

Pros
  • Grand Prize
Cons
  • Neutral

Working NICs

I only used this for a few days before switching to a gigabit card but I had no problems installing or working. Very good that a WOL cable was included. Most don't. I will keep this in stock.

Pros
  • Good stuff
Cons
  • Mostly good but...

Works great with Windows XP

I had to replace my old network card because my internet connection was slow. Installation couldn't be easier. I just had to replace the old card and put in the new card. Windows XP did the rest. He found a new card and installed everything himself.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Belkin Network Adapter Review

I received the adapter on time. I installed the adapter on an older computer (Gateway 1.3 GHz P4, ages 5-6) with no problems. I am using XP Professional. The adapter driver was automatically installed (ie plugged in and running). I have now connected the adapter to the "2-Wire" (trademark) modem and everything works fine. I am very satisfied with the supplier, the quality of the products and above all the price.

Pros
  • Fast Replacement
Cons
  • No Insurance
