While there are other HDMI to VGA converters that look identical to this one, this one works. I previously bought another one from Revain. This can take 1 to 1 1/2 minutes and then crash the PowerPoint projector requiring you to stop and reconnect to the projector. I teach at a local college and with over 50 students in a four hour class it gets quite frustrating. Luckily our IT technician was available and lent me the same adapter which worked perfectly. Ordered and more than satisfied!

I need this adapter for church. We can stream videos, run PowerPoint even if each service is in English, Vietnamese or Spanish, and use different laptops with different ports. This VGA to HDMI is perfect for harnessing the technology. Fast and easy. Many Thanks.

I bought this to use a PC monitor with no HDMI or audio port as a Roku TV. Unfortunately for reasons why this converter is causing the monitor to turn on and off, I and the technician I called could not figure out. Belkin sent me another model to check if the product was defective, but the same thing happened. I bought another converter for a fraction of the cost and it worked exceptionally well and I didn't have to use a power cord to power the unit. I'm giving this review 3 stars mainly…

You were required for a project to connect Apple TV to older VGA projection systems, the only inexpensive devices that worked properly with Apple TV. Just note that if you're going to use it with an Apple TV, you'll need to connect the adapter with a micro-USB cable.
