Great fit, looks a little ridiculous

Great fit, much better than any other half helmet (and many full face helmets) I have had/tried and seems very comfortable. Pretty much mushroom factor in the looks department, but hey, as long as it protects my head, who cares! As always, a great product from Bell! Many Thanks :-)

Great helmet for city trips

I'm a big fan of greyhounds and intelligence supplies. This is a great helmet for fast local rides or even longer rides. I really like being able to wear goggles on a helmet instead of on my head. For longer tours I prefer the Bell or Custom 500 with a hydration bladder. This recon helmet is excellent!

Would you like a mushroom cap? Because that's how you get the head of the mushroom.

I don't like the mushroom head. I like that it resembles an old PASGT Kevlar helmet (which I think it was designed for). I like that the headphones are reasonably quiet and that you have the option of placing the included Velcro patches anywhere you like.

It is mushroom shaped - Motorbike & Powersports

This is definitely a quality helmet. It's beautiful, the design looks good, the materials are solid and beautiful. You pay for what you get here. But it's undeniably mushroom-shaped and sits high on your head. I just couldn't hold it. If that doesn't bother you, then do it. But I just couldn't handle it. I would have preferred a lower profile.

Extremely comfortable helmet

Bell has succeeded with this helmet! It's very comfortable, lightweight, beautiful, has detachable speaker bags, and is very reasonably priced. It has a somewhat mushroom-shaped head. As a retired soldier, it looks like a tank helmet. I have over 10 helmets ranging from Bilt half helmets to Shoei full face helmets. This will be one of my favorite riding helmets as I ride every day, 365 days a year. I have King of the Roads 2018.

Excellent finishes but very bulbous.

What can I say about this helmet? He looks great headless but massive on his head. This helmet has extreme fungal syndrome. Not only is it very wide. Medium and large clams are the same, so reducing the size doesn't help, I've tried. I've been riding this helmet for about a month now and it's still quite comfortable apart from a few bruises on the side when I put it on for the first time. Pros: Appearance, workmanship, ear pads. Disadvantages: massive fungus, price, causes bruises.
