Useful for: Motorcycling and Powersports

Shield works well, just not reliable. After losing 2 on a long trip I realized I needed something to secure the sides and keep it from moving. I'll try to put some clear moveable tape on the sides to secure it and not obstruct the view. I should mention that I don't use it on a Bell helmet, it's a Daytona 3/4-3 Snap.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Useless features

Great sign! - Protective Gear

Received and picked up this shield today after driving over 90 miles at varying speeds of up to 90mph. I was really impressed with how it stayed in place with the three latches and most importantly how it protected the face and eyes from the wind unlike flat shields. I have an Arai Classic V 3/4 helmet that I have used it on and let me tell you this is by far the best shield I have ever had.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Crumpled Backpack

Good screen for the price

Tint color and gradient are good. The snap hardware is of good quality and holds up well in cross winds on my Bell Custom 500 Jager helmet. The chrome trim around the edge of the shield will bubble and will peel over time. This vintage shield/helmet combo met my nostalgic goal for looks, but didn't compare to the performance and quality of modern helmets like my Neotec II or GT Air. You need to know what is included in your purchase.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Minor issues

Decent shield, may need adjustment

Not the same shape as the 70's, almost rests on the sides of the helmet but there is enough gap on the new Daytona 3/4 helmet that at the speed of the thing vibrates , which is an annoying buzz and also affects the clarity of your vision. I wet a small silicon bead around the edge that touches the helmet and let it dry before putting it back on, that should solve the problem. Also, this is a good face mask, not as flexible as some.

Pros
  • Doping πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Doubt

Unreliable and poor tint

I had two of these that flew away when I turned my head to check my blind spot. So it's distracting when looking at the road as the top half is dark and the bottom half is clear. Not suitable for driving in the sun. It would be nice if the smoke shadow expanded and grew an inch. Always make sure to press firmly on the underside of the visor so it overlaps the helmet as much as possible to prevent possible fly-off.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • boring packaging

Ideal for bright, sunny days.

I used to wear a clear bubble visor but I was always squinting and didn't like tucking sunglasses between my head and my helmet. This is a great solution. It looks like you're looking through a bunch of travelers. If it weren't so hot outside I'd just always leave my helmet and sunglasses at home. The only problem is the silver foil (don't know what to call it) near the three buttons. gush. It is not smooth relative to the shield. I returned the first sign I bought for this reason, received the

Pros
  • Pretty impressive

  • Mostly ok but...

I had been riding this Bell 3 shield for about 4-5 months (live in Wisconsin - limited riding season). One day I was riding, looking over my shoulder while changing lanes, when suddenly a protective shield came off my helmet, almost causing me to lose control of the bike. A very scary experience. I was able to repair the bubble shield and upon further investigation the center latch had come loose from its slot on the bubble shield and was only attached to my helmet and not the shield. The…
