I've only used this ice bucket once but it worked. We used it for a teen dinner. He kept the ice frozen for hours while the teenagers went about their business. We have a fridge with a broken ice maker so we buy ice packs. We wanted a bucket with a lid to store ice in the fridge and after about an hour of searching we found this product. We think buckets and lids are strong. The pliers work perfectly. It keeps the ice cream cold for a really long time if left on the counter. We are happy with our purchase. It's a good size, quite a large capacity (more than you would expect from the outside), but incredibly UNCONVENIENT to work with because it doesn't have a handle! If they put a simple pen on it I would give it five stars. Anyway, it requires both hands to operate and it's really uncomfortable.
