The factory belts on my car wore out after two years of use so I bought these replacements. After two uses, the smaller (drive) belt broke. I installed the second one today, let's see how long it lasts. There might be something wrong with my machine, but I feel like a new strap should last more than two uses. In addition, the original parts lasted two years. I'm glad I bought two sets; We hope it was just an accident.

These tapes have served their purpose so far and fixed our carpet cleaner. We have a little and use it so much that one of the original straps snapped. We were concerned our money was being wasted on this carpet cleaner and we would need a new one. The belts on the bissell website get a lot better when you add in shipping and handling. We took a chance and ordered them based on reviews and we love them so far.

Bissell product specifications state that 203-6688 is the part number for the 14N7 left replacement carpet brush belt. That is not right. It does not fit. You need to buy 189-3M-6. The belt has 63 teeth needed to drive the brushes on the left. Don't waste your money on 203-6688 if you have a 17N4. It won't work and you will be very disappointed.
