Ben-Mor Zinco Strong Tie-Out Cable fits my Angel

I needed a tie for my 11 month old Angel Shih Tzu who loves being outdoors. Although I don't leave them outside alone, there are times when I tend to flowers or work in the garden. She always seems to want to go in one direction and I in another. The tie-out cable is great. The 20 foot length is perfect for her to go about her business while I go about my business. It is durable, it can move without getting tangled. It's much better than regular rope.

Do not buy this product

Garbage. Do not buy. I read the reviews and thought I was getting a good product but this tie lasted less than 4 months with very minimal use. We used this link in our backyard and we usually only use the one in our front yard. The clamp's spring broke when our 6 pound dog was outside. The clip was still attached to his collar but had come loose from the leash. Our little Yorkie doesn't pull or chew on it. He collapsed. We have the same shorter one in the yard and a week later the button on the

BEWARE OF THE ZAP is the best tool for learning and behavior

Beware of this tie. I have 30 feet for a 250 lb dog. I use it for my 3 year old 90 lb German Shepherd. Durability isn't an issue, but twice the clasp came loose from what it was attached to. The first time I scratched the back of my head and let go. It wasn't broken, just detached from the stake. I thought maybe I did something wrong. Today he untied his collar and he was in the yard. Again, the clasp isn't broken, it just somehow came loose. This is scary due to the fact that the clasp is…

Well done dog screed!

Great tie! I had a braided nylon line which I liked but it has a regular hook and I was shocked my dog got off this hook rolling on the ground as he often does! I was looking for a line with that special type of hook that dogs can't loosen by reeling. This cable is very good - well made, great hooks, plastic coated. The only thing I could ask is that it SHOULD look strong, but everyone I've asked to look at the cord insists that it's actually quite strong for a medium sized dog like mine who…

Stronger cables require larger fasteners

I needed to replace some cables that were bent and worn out after several arctic winters. My system consists of attaching one end to an eyebolt on the outside and routing it under the door. That way, when snowdrifts top the 6 foot backyard fence, I can strap my two huskies to the zipline while I stay indoors. I opted for the heavier 20ft red cord and was dismayed that the latches were too small to attach to an eyebolt and also too small to attach to the metal ring on one of my dog collars. To…
