This is exactly what I need to display content from my laptop (which doesn't have an HDMI port) on my TV. Works on both 4K and non-4K devices.

Does exactly what I need. Bought a new TV to use as an HDMI monitor for a 2011 Mac Book Pro (still intact). It might be overkill, but it works well. Satisfied with the price and functionality.

Two of these adapters have failed since the beginning of the school year. One stopped working at all and the other had "screen noise" that stopped when I plugged in a new one. For some, a longer adapter might be a good thing, but my teachers use it hanging over the edge of their desk and I think it breaks the internal wiring.

Adapter has worked as expected so far. I didn't know my new monitor supports Display Port and Mini Display Port, so I used an HDMI cable from the monitor to the adapter for my MacBook Pro (15" Late 2013); the HDMI port doesn't work; I have this one MBP composed of two separate MBPs, so it's a Frankenstein MacBook 🤷🏻‍♀️ I get the advertised 2650 x 1440 at 60Hz and I can close my MBP while using the monitor, so I'm happy.

BENFEI won't disappoint. The processing of the aluminum body, the taped seams and the braided cord is excellent. The mini display port connection is solid and reliable. The picture and sound are clear without delay. This mainly depends on the GPU of the host computer and the CPU of the target monitor.
