I only used one on a large kitchen cabinet lift door. Works perfectly and holds the door open. Use the other piece on the lift table, do the job again, and keep the heavy door open. The only problem was the written measurements for the installation, you have to figure out yourself where to put the ends so the door opens to your heart's content.

Using the measurements given to fix the lid at a 90 degree angle did not help. I have about 82 degrees. I checked and rechecked the mounting dimensions/directions and even tried moving the mount a bit to keep it at a 90 degree angle. At this point, the ram did not fully close. That confusion aside, I think this is a good buy. I have used a shock absorber on a 10lb toy chest and it works great. The ends of the bracket are plastic, and everything else is steel or aluminum.

These shelves were just what I needed. Roof cabinets are installed in our campers. The installation didn't take long at all. Since RV cabinets are very cheap to make, I glued/clipped some small blocks behind the mounting plate (because they were attached to the front panel, not the flat side).
