The box is great and looks much better than the light colored cardboard box. The addition of dice was a welcome surprise and led to some fun variations of the game. However, tiling is a problem. One of the placeholders has a corner cut out, making it recognizable if you look closely at the time available. Another tile has the same problem. Two of them have jagged edges that can be seen when choosing a tile. And some of them are thicker than the others, so they don't fit in the included tile…

Make sure you have inventory of the parts when you receive them. I checked out early enough to trade, I had three yellow (9) tiles and only one yellow (6). Paint smeared on some tiles. I was also disappointed that the tiles (of the Joker) have no image and are just blank tiles on each side. It would be more attractive if they had something on them. I gave four stars because they will send me a replacement and the game box and trays are quite attractive.

They are cute and I like their small size. It's more portable and doesn't require a large table to play. What worries me a lot is that the tiles are not all the same thickness. The tile coasters are not as pictured but I prefer the new ones, they are similar to the original coasters but some tiles are a bit thicker and won't fit in the slots so I had to file the slots wider each time to make them fit. Overall I'm still happy with them, but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone who doesn't want to

We are very happy with our choice. A nice solid wooden case, chips with numbers engraved on them (as opposed to just painted ones) and good wooden coasters (no little legs to come loose or break). First of all, it's not a real Rummikub game - it's fake (which is normal - it's not rocket science). Pieces are small (travel size). The chip holders are tight (chips do NOT slide down the lanes, you have to slide them in/out (probably so you can play in a moving car so the chips don't fly all over the place - but if you're playing in a moving car, where the heck put them do you put all the tiles in?)
