Pretty big, I had to lose money to return the pen box because we didn't need it with this frame. , no tools required, almost easy to open. Good frame to leave storage underneath.

I love the side frame duplication. My husband collapsed or another single shot sitting on the edge of the bed. That shouldn't happen with this construct. Also, the support legs are angled outwards towards the center rather than inwards. That means more storage space.
