This device appears to work by keeping dogs in the back of the car. The real test will be when I pull my boxer shorts onto my back, although they worked great for a pug.

It's hard to tell how it will hold up as it stretches so much, but in the end it just isn't tall enough for a mid-size car; Our husky can bend over the top very easily, so he doesn't do much. It would be better if it was higher. It also partially tore when stretched.

I removed the headrest because my small stature made the angle uncomfortable. It depends on those attachment points, which to me is reasonable but not efficient. Also, the mesh piece is pretty small - for people with larger dogs, I'm not sure how effectively it will block them.
