Unfortunately mine was damaged on arrival. Despite the fact that it was tightly packed, I heard a rattling sound inside when I took the strip out of the box. I removed the end and found the cable stop was broken and was floating in the strip. I ordered this model to mount on the top/back of our entertainment center. As the cord moved the band, my daughter held my hand to make marks for the screws. My suggestion for those doing it alone would be a small piece of tape on the clamps to secure it to the pole while you make your mark, attach the clamp to the end of the string first.
