Good combo, the amplifier is ready to go. The headphones look, feel and sound fantastic. Balanced sound without overdoing the mix. An open back set that can be worn for hours to give you an idea of the sounds outside the headset. The amp plugs into the wall and has an input on the back for a standard headphone audio cable (gold plated adapters were included).

This is my 2nd pair, the first pair was bought back in 2011. I absolutely love them, they sound just as incredible as I remember. What I don't like is that the cable is always plugged in. That's not to say repairs are impossible, but you'd think that with Beyerdynamic quality it wouldn't be a problem. But this is not even a minus, they sound amazing.

I'm a DJ with a long cable and the ability to move and dance is huge. The only downside I found with these headphones is a lot of sound leakage. If you are single and listen to music then this is for you. However, if you are on an airplane or in a public place, there is a high possibility that someone close to you can hear your tunes.

First things first Amplifier Doesn't work properly; Halfway up it seems to work properly, but once the volume is above halfway on *any* channel, the audio becomes muddy and just low, reverting to the single channel (right or left depending on which headphones are used).
