The product I received was not Bialetti, it was a different brand. Not what I expected based on the product description.

Beautiful jug, doesn't whistle, but I didn't expect it! Perfect size for Chemex coffee pots if you are interested. Beautifully designed. But the handle is a bit cheap. Otherwise perfect for what I wanted, thanks!

Looked well made but noticed very little water leakage near the base after first use. I decided not to bother with returns so I kept using it. A bad plan, since of course more and more violent leaks soon appeared. They probably drank 6-8 seagulls of tea from it, but it's no longer good as a teapot. As a shelf decoration, it looks beautiful.

According to people in the comments this item was either made in Italy or I think Czechoslovakia but as soon as you turn it over it says MADE IN CHINA. . I'm not saying the quality has to be bad, but who knows, maybe, as I've read in the reviews of all other Chinese-made teapots, they will eventually fall apart or rust. So I sent it back.

I liked the design but the performance is terrible. It takes a long time to boil - no doubt due to the narrow base and tall body, which I should have found out before buying - but what's far more problematic is that it spews boiling water out the sink and put out the flames on my stovetop and make a huge mess . . Meanwhile, gas is still escaping from the furnace, which is potentially quite dangerous. Some whistling - perhaps due to the steam holes in the lid - would be justified. I will replace
