My mum had one and loved it for Christmas

My mum had one when I was little and loved it for Christmas. I thought it would be a good reminder of her so I bought it. This one is VERY thin, needs a little nudge to get it going and doesn't spin for long and I haven't found anyone yet who can hear it ring, just a very faint ticking when the bell hits. It's a $2.00 item at best, and only because the candles are worth something.

Pros
  • Nice to use

  • Only available in black

Not. It's wrong to spend. Your. Money.

My 40 year old wind chimes are dull and faded. I replaced them with these in 2018. They are so fragile that the vertical part cannot support the weight of the parts it is designed to support. He falls to the side. As a result, the angels don't spin well, and when the ringing hits the bell, it doesn't make a clear "ringing". It only makes a faint sound as the chime slides over the bell. I played around with it in 2018 and 2019. I never got it to run well. Now it's in the trash waiting to be sent

An echo of the past, but not a finished song

My grandmother had one like that - small and nice. It's not small or dainty, but it works the same way. Assembled it is approximately 8 inches high and 5 inches wide. It looks like a flat pack with a small exploded view instead of assembly instructions. It includes angel fittings in a large plastic bag along with rotor and bell components and clown fittings in a separate plastic bag. Ideally, you assemble it where it will be in the end and don't rearrange it, since all parts are coordinated and

He must be skinny!

I gave 5 stars to improve my overall rating. The first reason is that it is NOT junk! For goodness sake it MUST be thin because it won't work if it's made out of heavy strong metal! Candle flames could never become angels. Second, for those who say the pins don't reach the bells, it's because you didn't push the top pin deep enough. Push it in far enough so that the bells align about halfway down the pin. The pins easily fall into the bells! The only negative I had was that the main piece of…

Ah, nostalgia. good for home decoration products

I have approached my review to incorporate other people's reviews. Many people complained that it was cheaply made. Well, it's always been a bit cheap, even what we had when I was a little kid. It looks like a $6 item so I wasn't expecting much and I don't think anyone really worth it. It's like a light tin can. You cannot leave it burning unattended. I think it's even a little lighter than the last one I had, but not by much. When blowing out the candles, do not blow on them vigorously…

You can go back home!

Holly Helmstetter Scandinavian Wind Chimes After assembling my new Scandinavian Wind Chimes tonight and lighting the candles, I settled into a comfortable armchair and closed my eyes. Gentle "Ting! Ting! Ting!" brought me right back to childhood. Our tiny cottage (16 x 24 feet) was often noisy as I was one of six children, we occasionally giggled or argued and were almost always very happy. But there were times of deep peace. Some of us kids slept on a fold-out couch in the living room, which…
