I have just purchased 2 of these sets from a woodworking supplier for a custom made Mission office chair with wheels, swivel and glides. The device has an 8 foot octagonal base - all 12 bearings were used but it didn't roll at all. Even when nobody was sitting in the chair, it squeaked and could not roll smoothly. i give them back Be careful with the project you are going to use them on.

These bearings are only really good for small jobs where light weight is being put on them. I've used them under a plywood platform to slide a camping cooler (maybe 60 pounds) and they barely roll. They are better than fridge slides but they are pretty bad as they have VERY high rolling resistance. I'd skip that and look at something like wheel bearings. THESE BEARINGS WORK WELL IN A WOOD SHOP BUT NOT ON FURNITURE. IN FACT THEY WORK PERFECTLY FOR WHAT THEY ARE DESIGNED FOR IE PUSHING WOOD ONTO TABLE SAW. WOOD PANELS ARE NOT HEAVY. NOBODY IN THE TIMBER BUSINESS WILL BE DISSATISFIED WITH THEIR PERFORMANCE IF USED IN THE RIGHT MATRIX. DO A LITTLE PRODUCT RESEARCH BEFORE YOU BUY IT.
