I was skeptical based on several negative reviews but was pleased to find that the scissors are sharp all round. The scissors open and close easily and smoothly, but not too quickly if that makes sense. There is the slightest trace of friction. The scissors are a good weight so you feel like you're holding something but not too heavy or too long. I gave them 4 stars to see if the brass finish would wear off with use. I will update this in a year.
