great initial performance

Installed these on May 30th 2019 to fix excessive ricochet and nose dive on my 2018 f150 and it did just that. Stock shocks gave me. Contact the manufacturer for a guarantee. and let you know how the exchange is going.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Something else

Great addition to F 150s

Adjust the racks to 1.75 in 2019 fx4 platinum. Very little raking. The ride in the 33-inch Cooper Discoverer is indescribable. You will need a POWERFUL SPRING COMPRESSOR to install them. I used a wall mount and still took two of us to roll the feathers. DO NOT attempt this with manual or cheap spring compressors. Installation on the lift took less than an hour. worth your money.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Nothing

Required Shock Upgrade

I installed them on a 2019 F-150 Platinum FX4. They are set at a height of 2.1 inches and left a 1 inch rake on the truck. The photo is on a sloping road, so it is distorted. The truck looks straight on a flat surface. Your dimensions may vary. Handling is much better than stock tires and also stiffer as you would expect with increased coil preload. I had them on my last truck and I knew I needed them on this truck. They are amazing.

Pros
  • Very Good Price
Cons
  • Modern

Great price and great ride.

I bought rear shocks for my 2016 F150 FX4 Off-Road and after feeling a dramatic change in handling I bought a front pair. Since this required special tools, I had them installed at a local shop. The results were nothing short of amazing. I felt like I had a new truck again. I was very shocked to find my 3 year old shock absorbers were completely fried. It only took moderate pressure to compress them and there was almost no reaction.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Not the best

I got exactly what I wanted with these shock absorbers.

These dampers did exactly what I wanted on my 2017 f150 4x4. I needed a few inches of extra buoyancy to clear 35" tires and didn't want to use spacers or other types of buoyancy. These shocks raised the front end a little over 1 3/4 inches and now I don't lose myself at all. Thanks to the extra tire height and dampers, I was able to get 3 inches of extra ride height without that "elevated" look, which was EXACTLY what I wanted.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Secret

It could be a defective shock absorber! Be careful!

I bought two shock absorbers five months ago. I installed them on my 2015 Ford F150. I have since heard a loud noise from the driver's side suspension. It was a pain in the neck. I've replaced the strut brace, two stabilizer arms and even the wheel bearing assembly. All my work didn't fix the problem. Finally, I took my truck to the mechanic. He diagnosed a bad defective shock absorber. If you have any problem after installing this shock absorber, please return it immediately. Wasted money andโ€ฆ

2018 F-150 S crew best in shock absorbers

The shocks arrived earlier than expected and each shock was individually packaged in an OEM Bilstein box in a similar sized brown cardboard box. When opened, there were holes in the original packaging through which the shock mount broke. The damage appears to have occurred at the warehouse prior to shipment as the outer box was undamaged. I only mention this because the fasteners can float in the box and fall out in storage. I had all the components in and (at the store) the installation wentโ€ฆ

Aligned and looking good!

I installed Bilstein 5100 front and rear shocks on my 2017 F-150 SCREW. The truck is now much tighter to drive and the front end is reduced to a minimum. Uses the 2.1" setup on the front wheels and the truck appears to be much larger. Added 285/80/17 Nitto Ridge Grappler simultaneously. I decided not to do the fronts myself and asked a local shop I've been going to for 20 years to do the job. They are mostly tire shops so I felt comfortable when they got the job done even though they had neverโ€ฆ

This is Bilstein, any questions?

Disclosure I didn't buy mine here but I know people read a lot of reviews here. so bad it dump truck-like, rolls around, feels jerky at freeway speeds, and is unstable on corners. Also take the back ones. You will need ten additional minutes to install while the truck is on the lift to do this from the front. I got Bilstein shocks on everything I have and I don't know why I waited so long. This is probably the biggest factory upgrade I've ever received from Bilstein. Once you see these bestโ€ฆ
