laugh out loud it works

it works. Low SWR with a cutter. The antenna is paired with the VR-N7500 Bluetooth VHF/UHF radio. I have this setup on my '73 KE6UPI bike.

Good quality but limited design

Works as expected. Good material and workmanship. If you're expecting to get a full-size antenna, you'll be disappointed. But if you can live with its shortcomings, it's worth it.

do not exceed 10W!

This article is complete junk. I really liked the low profile short profile idea but it wasn't the solution. I wish I had done more research but it was cheap and I got what I paid for. If you really want to communicate, you should look for another way.

Antenna performance very poor

I am not satisfied with the performance of this antenna. The signal sent did not reach any high-end repeater within 8 miles of the transmitter. Reception barely registers as S4 on the S-meter when using this antenna, but shows full range when using a standard mobile antenna.

Pros
  • Trial period for one year
Cons
  • No automatic

Antenna is working very poorly

I am dissatisfied with the performance of this antenna. The signal sent did not reach any high-end repeater within 8 miles of the transmitter. Reception barely registers as S4 on the S-meter when using this antenna, but shows up at full size when using a standard cellular antenna.

Pros
  • Antennas are weak

Class A, 100% garbage!

I should have taken care when reading the reviews and consulting others before buying. It's garbage. You can hear further than 1/8 mile. TX is just as bad as RX. And that gives him more credibility than he deserves. Save money. Invest in something better. The only reason I keep it handy is a rain hat.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Mobility with care

Short Short antenna. I bought it to put the jeep in the garage. The current antenna (Diamond SSB-680) gets me through less than 80% of driveways and garages, but not into my own garage. This Bingfu antenna is just a squat rubber ducky for mobile use. Works well for local repeaters (less than 10 miles). The SWR is 2.5+ on the average 2 meter band and increases as the frequency increases. Below 145.5, the SWR drops to 1.2/1. Not recommended for high power (10+W) or prolonged use. The reception is
