Bought several packs to replace the CFLs in both of our bathrooms. Appearance is of course very subjective, but in our opinion these transparent bulbs look much better than translucent CFLs or incandescent bulbs. We use these in our bathroom fixtures and all bulbs except the metal base are visible. They are supposed to be decorative lightbulbs, unfortunately they have text on a white background. We deliberately bought these bulbs because there were no inscriptions on their base. Also, we love those lightbulbs. We installed two lamps with 8 bulbs each, so we needed 16 bulbs. This is AWESOME! I bought two packs of six. Of the 12, one was damaged in transit. They replaced it immediately without forcing me to return the defective bulb. Customer service was amazing. However, I have learned that while I was only able to find on the Revain product and order pages to return the item and get a refund, there is an email address and phone number on the packaging. Use them as a quick replacement if you run into problems. Anyway, I now have twelve perfect lightbulbs. The light
