I really doubt the authenticity of the shoes I received in the mail. Now I only have one pair of Birkenstocks that I bought directly from Nordstroms (Arizona Sports), but these shoes seem very cheap. The first thing I noticed was the scratchy inner sole. The fibers didn't settle at all and after a day of wear they were rough on the balls of my feet. Therefore the jury cannot accept the authenticity of these shoes. These were my first purchases in Birka. I don't normally spend $90 on sandals, but I had an Amazon gift card so I bought it instead of going to an authorized retailer. Honestly I can't tell if these are fake as I don't have the comfort/quality barometer of this item. Pros: Hardware matches close-up photos from Birkenstock website. The T-strap sits flat on my foot, contrary to some complaints I've read about fakes. I didn't notice
