Now I can work much better in the photo booth!

Works better than great with my Nikon D5100. I needed a cable to use my camera with Photo Booth Software and Lightroom 5. I haven't had any problems with either of them. Used with Windows 7. This is much better than using my D70 as the client can see their picture the whole time they are in front of the camera and not just after the picture is taken. Photobooth tip: I need the camera's power adapter now because I've found that the battery drains pretty quickly if the camera sends a video image…

It works. Not bad for cables and connections

I'm updating my review, I've had it for a few weeks now and it's gradually getting more and more painful. The USB socket on it sucks and I have to maintain constant back pressure to keep it connected. Sometimes the connection drops when I try to move large files. This is very frustrating. I bought this particular cable a few years ago and it has always worked. I lost it and bought this new one and it's just junk. Cable is not transferring data

Cable is not transferring data from my D5300. The shorter Nikon D5300 cable works well. This one won't. Sent first one back, got next one, same problem. I can browse Nikon folders normally, but the computer freezes intermittently when trying to retrieve data from the camera. I cut off the EMI bead (ferrite) on the outside of the cable and now the data is 100% transferred through another USB 2.0 port on the computer, while previously it was not transferred to a USB port on the computer.
