I'm updating my review, I've had it for a few weeks now and it's gradually getting more and more painful. The USB socket on it sucks and I have to maintain constant back pressure to keep it connected. Sometimes the connection drops when I try to move large files. This is very frustrating. Cable is not transferring data from my D5300. The shorter Nikon D5300 cable works well. This one won't. Sent first one back, got next one, same problem. I can browse Nikon folders normally, but the computer freezes intermittently when trying to retrieve data from the camera. I cut off the EMI bead (ferrite) on the outside of the cable and now the data is 100% transferred through another USB 2.0 port on the computer, while previously it was not transferred to a USB port on the computer.
