Sturdy but difficult to attach

I trimmed the strap a few inches to avoid 6 inches of extra webbing coming out of the buckle. While this solved the tail problem, without the extra length to grip the sling, it was difficult to get the sling in and out tightly. Once I tighten it, it stays. I have other belts from Bison Design and they are all excellent quality. This one isn't my favorite. Having tried the double ring design, I prefer the plastic snap for easy attachment.

  • Feels good
Cons
  • Durable

Decent belt but not wearing

I really liked this belt. This is really a decent set for the price. I tested it on a three-month trip abroad. I carried a leather tool and utility knife, and the belt worked well. You really have to "break" the strap - it's a little at first when you try to tighten it, but it softens over time. This is not a weight carrying strap and in my opinion too soft to carry a pistol. If you want that, I recommend 5.11. I used a 5.11 sling to carry a handgun on my last deployment and it was excellent…

  • Don't waste too much time

Poor strap design

The webbing is stiff making it very difficult to attach the strap. It takes two hands to even get close to the desired setting. Flat D-rings may look a little better if their function is lost. The strap also loosens after a short time. How could anyone design this belt without even testing it to see how it performs? In addition, the time between order and delivery was almost a month and a half.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Not the best

Looks cool but doesn't hold up my pants

I expected this woven belt to be snug. It is not. I had high expectations for the bison belt. This was my last attempt to find a belt that actually holds the pants. Now I've resigned myself to wearing sweatpants for the rest of my life. You can get four pairs of Haines for about the same price as a belt.

Pros
  • I'm holding my fists
Cons
  • Quality

Don't shrink!

Near perfect but poor buckle design overlaps so buckles don't lie flat on waist (see photo). I love the simple, classic, understated style of this D-ring belt (so close to perfection) but there isn't enough room between the buckles to lay flat. Also the reason (as many reviewers have said) is that the strap is difficult to tighten and adjust. Bison needs to change this theme to improve its functionality and style!

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities

Heavy duty belt! - Men

The best belt I've ever had. Won't fray or weaken like other clinch straps and nylon is very strong. The only problem I've ever had with one of these was the angle of the webbing where they were welded, it had a sharp part that was sticking out and scratching my tummy when I sat down BUT - this problem was easily solved, slightly cut off the corner. Scissors and quick tapping with sandpaper. I use them on hikes, at work and just for a walk.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Some bugs
