🏠 Bissell 203-1299 Door: Efficient Dirt Cup Debris for Healthy Home 5770 5990 6100 - White Review

Matches our 5770 perfectly. (There are two versions of the 5770). This litter tray is 203-1299 and Bissell also makes the 203-1314 litter tray. Very competitive price and shipped quickly. Fits perfectly with our vacuum cleaner. We bought two to have a spare.

Perfect match for mine. It's a bit convenient as the foam/rubber gasket doesn't compress with regular use. I was a little worried as several other people with 5770s said they didn't fit. Strange. Attaching it was some work. I had to press the handle/notch on the other side with a butter knife.

The main rubber o-ring in the center of the acrylic portion of the door is dry and cannot be replaced as it is one piece. Obviously this is an old part that has been stored in a hot place and the rubber is now damaged and will likely break soon. As this is a rare item and all I have at the moment because my ex is broke I will keep it until I find another one.

Perfect for a can but a bit tricky to fit. The flip clip will not snap as is. I had to trim the springs with a dremmel as mentioned in other posts. I first tried softening the clamp with warm water to see if it would help it snap into place, but to no avail. So since I didn't want to risk the clip breaking under pressure, both tips had to be ground down about 1/8" before they snapped into place.

Hinge clamp difficult to attach. After we were finally able to attach the loop, the lid would not close. There were plastic pins preventing the lid from closing, they needed to be filed. This cover should work on 5770, 5990 and 6100. Somewhere in this model line, the door has changed somewhat. The 5770 can't close with the pins where they are. Once this was fixed, attaching the cup to the other half was also difficult, but it was only the innermost seal that really needed to be crushed to keep…
