Great Signal Amplifier

This rubber antenna is excellent! Based on my experience it has significantly improved the signal strength of my home audio system. The installation process was very simple and hassle-free, and it's been a great addition to my electronics setup. The only downside is that it`s not as aesthetically pleasing as some of the other options out there, but the performance more than makes up for it .Overall, it's a fantastic purchase for anyone looking to enhance their home audio experience..

Pros
  • Good signal reception due to 433Mhz frequency
Cons
  • Not as durable as metal antennas

Terrible quality antenna for home audio

This antenna is no good for any electronics that rely on a strong signal. As my tests showed the reception was spotty at best and completely non-existent at worst .The only pro was the cheap price, but you definitely get what you pay for in this case. The cons far outweigh any potential benefits of this product. Would not recommend purchasing..

Pros
  • Durable rubber material ensures longevity and resistance to wear and tear.
Cons
  • Signal range may be limited compared to antennas with higher frequencies.

Ground plane must be used

Like many of these cheap antennas they have a free space resonance at 473MHz. I installed it on the side of a metal box and its resonance dropped to 440MHz. So if you use the bottom layer you might get some boost at 433, the advertised frequency. If you are using a plastic case you can also use a straight piece of wire as they have no gain at all but some loss. If you are using a metal box, remember that the main lobe is offset from the box. This means that the antenna is directed away from the
