I love this amazing modern ceiling fan. As with any ceiling fan, installation is not easy. However, after installation, the balance is good and quiet. I love turning on the lights and I just added longer decorative handles so we can reach them. I wasn't sure how I would like the 4 blades but they work great. There's only one thing I can point out: make sure you have the height for this lower profile mount. I prefer the shorter, ceiling-mounted block, but it's pretty good in the bedroom.

I'm installing this in a refurbished cabin that didn't previously have ceiling fans. This one looks good and is a good size. It has a span large enough to comfortably move air across an open plan living/kitchen area. It's lighter than other fans we have in our house, so we can just buy a standard ceiling fan mount with extra support. You must use your own light bulbs for lighting. We installed it, worked half a day and removed it this week to finish the ceiling above.

You can install it all yourself, but it's always easier to hire someone else to do it. After placing the bracket, you can hang the fan and connect all cables. I've been trying to upgrade my old ceiling fan for about a year. I really like the newer fans in a more modern style and was surprised to see that Black and Decker had such a nice fan.
