Black Decker Retractable Extension Outlets Review

I don't have an outlet near my sofa and often need an extension cord. I can use an extension cord and then not leave it. This is the perfect solution and I'm sure I'll find others!

If you don't mind winding the cord, you're good to go. I like auto-retractable spools better, but they're really not meant for portable use unless they're attached to something. This device is designed for those times when you need multiple outlets and/or a safe place to store the cord that can be easily rolled up.

This was a great purchase/find! I have limited power options in my unfinished basement and wanted to set up a workshop. It was EXACTLY what I needed and I love that you can plug in the extra cable! Very compact with excellent cable. I'll get some more for the garage.

A bit jittery, the lever isn't really a lever more like a hard-to-grip protrusion and fingers always slip when you remove it because it's not a lever . It works as it should but the whole body is cheap plastic and looks like it will break if I accidentally sit on it. As in half. Find another one if you can for the same price.

I bought this product thinking I was going to get a decent quality product as it was Black and Decker - wrong! The handle broke on the first use, it's very difficult (almost impossible) to roll up and now the cord doesn't come out easily either. I pulled it all the way out to see if I could get the cable to work better, but it's just not very well constructed. piece of trash

In this case, the cable is not easy and smooth to wind up, it is very difficult to wind up the cable back into the case. The tiny push button handle feels like it will break easily if you twist too hard, as does the flimsy strap on the faucet that looks like it could break any second and is so hard to rewind. Have to send them back and order something with a stronger firm grip to hold on to and a better grip/handle for winding the cord.

The handle is a piece of soft plastic held in place only by tabs molded into the ends. If you try to hold it while winding the cord, the handle will pop out of the socket. Okay, then don't hold the handle? We'll do it, there's no other place to hold it because the entire face and back rotates and the handle doesn't leave room for a handle. You basically have to turn it face up and push the handle into your stomach with your legs to rotate it. Super annoying.

I bought this for my basement. I have a few things that I plug in down there and I don't like taking up all my outlets, also I wanted my dehumidifier to be right by the drain so I plugged it in and because of the way the cord winds up i need it I just had to pull out as much of the cord as I needed and then stick things right in there without a bunch of extra cord going anywhere.
