Does NOT work! New phone, new ISP VoIP service, new phone cable. Call failed. The ISP ran tests and the modem was fine. They sent the technician, the problem with the cable! Now I'm finding out that I can't get a refund for a defective item?! Not cool!

phone cord works great. The only complaint is that it's very thin and not very durable. If you just plug it in and forget it, you should be happy with the cable. If you need to move it, if it gets stuck on anything, it seems like it's going to be cut/chopped.

Summary: This Telephone Extension DOES NOT WORK! Long version: I bought this to connect a Valentine One radar detector. I needed black because of the interior color. This is the fourth machine I have connected. Never had a problem before. I can't return it because I cut the cable. At this point I cut the cord and divided it back into 4 sections. None of the sections work. Shit!

Do not buy. This cable is NOT properly connected. The manufacturer did not properly connect the ends at both ends. One end of the RJ11 is wired correctly, but the other end of the RJ11 is crossed. While this "might" work with phones since phones don't care about polarity, it will NOT work if you use it as a communication cable for devices with RJ11 wiring. Too complicated to send back. Garbage.

Sorry I can't give any stars. The cable doesn't work. I've tried 2 other cables and can receive calls and faxes, but I can't receive either of them with this cable. Apparently they don't accept returns/exchanges either. Waste of money - don't buy or you will regret it! UPDATE: THE SELLER AUTOMATICALLY SENT ME A NEW CABLE. THEY WERE VERY GRATEFUL. THE CABLE IS PERFECT FOR TELEPHONE AND FAX. I AM ADDING THE STARS BECAUSE YOU MADE IT REALLY EXCELLENT.

I've had this 25 foot phone cord for three years. Repaired as often as I could, but this is absolute crap. Cheap cable, the insulating material of which has torn in several places after just a few months and has exposed the metal wire - safe at the same time. hidden in the cable duct/protector with zero voltage on the wires. Five stars for an economical and sufficient product that meets expectations based on description and price. It's not the highest quality or most robust high-performance cord, but it's very inexpensive, ships quickly, and is a satisfactory solution as a telephone patch cord.
