Good catch for parts

Good stuff for the price. Hard to believe that you can get this item so cheap. Don't invent yourself if you can buy it. Seems to be working fine and some oil is appearing on my lt1 turbo. Remember to keep oil out of the intake tract. The hose that comes with the kit is small, but for the money the canister is good.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Clarity

Best Value for Money

Pleasantly surprised by the quality of this item, especially for the price. Used to top up an existing coolant reservoir as the stock reservoir draws in more coolant during operation and creates air pockets. This thing is easy to hook up, but the included mounts didn't really help or come with it. Instead he made his own. All in all, I think it was worth it

Pros
  • Inspires Confidence
Cons
  • Periodicity

Good can for the money. Needs modification

Great for the money. I couldn't even build that cheap. Aside from that, there was a lot of junk inside, probably because the threads on the canister were cut. Must be thoroughly cleaned before use. If used as a coolant overflow canister, a small hole must be drilled in the cap. Otherwise, it will come under pressure and, as it were, destroy the target.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Not sure

Civilian Overflow Bottle

Drilled a hole in the cap and installed it on my Civic VX because my original overflow tank had a defective cap and had been driving hard for weeks with no overheating issues. I even used an orange tube and it's holding up great I think because I bled the cap. I will update if there are problems. The overflow is mounted temporarily as the hardware that comes with it isn't quite right for what I want to do, but it's still serviceable. Would buy again.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Something else

I got it working for my car

Used as the radiator expansion tank in my CJ-7. The tank is good but everything that came with it was useless. The bracket made absolutely no sense. I still have no idea how they intended to use it for me, no institutions either. The tank doesn't breathe so a vent hole had to be drilled and hammered into the top. Overall it looks good but will most likely require modifications and a custom mounting bracket for your application.

  • Certified
Cons

Dumbest Design

I get past a useless hose that bursts instantly I get past a cap with no vent I can't get past the fact that there aren't any brackets welded or attached to the tank itself. What a TERRIBLE design? I was planning on installing it on my 1966 Mustang right next to my aluminum racing radiator. Not being able to securely mount it in a non-ghetto way, I returned it and bought a tank with the brackets already attached. Too bad the tank is thick and strong and I needed black to match my Rhino engine…

Good tank for the price.

I bought this from Amazon Warehouse and am impressed with the product. The seams are very well finished. Comes with two brackets, two bolts, two nuts, one large tank clamp, two small clamps to connect hose, hose and tank. The tank is not vented, which I think it should be because it helps when mounting on a radiator, but it can be easily attached. It's a bit small, I haven't measured the volume it occupies, but it seems like about a liter and a half, maybe less, maybe more. I think I would pay…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Some nuances

This is a trap that always catches a little bit the way it is. You see, this closure is not vented. This way the air has nowhere to go, so only a little (1/4 cup) of water gets in at a time, or worse, you create excessive pressure in the intake manifold and you blow the overflow line. As for me, I'll probably put a hose connector on top of the can and route the hose to where the hose won't attract contaminants. This allows the cylinder to fill without excess pressure in the system. Because of…
