Setup was incredibly easy, we just plugged it in and turned it on and then I was able to sync it with the app and control the features. I'll say the cons first: the fade out feature seems to be related to how dim the light is already. So if you set the color selection really low in the DIY section, the fade out feature makes it appear and disappear really fast instead of slow blinking since the light is already dim.
