Blistex Lip Medex, Pack of 3 Review

I think I've finally found something I like more than Carmex! I went home to visit my family in the desert and the moisture was immediately sucked out of my body, leaving me with very chapped lips. Carmex didn't work for me as usual so I tried it and it was amazing. It was like it immediately started working to penetrate the layer of dirt covering my parched mouth and pretty quickly (1-2 days) got it back to normal.

I have ordered two 3-packs. There were only 2 items in a bag and it looks like it has been opened or someone ripped one of the items out of the bag. I will not use counterfeit items, especially in this day and age. Very disappointed! $5.99 down the drain. Thanks for nothing!

This has been my favorite lip balm for years. I love the texture and find it to be the most protective. I grew up using lip balm (my family lived in the snow belt so lip balm was a must) but once I discovered Lip Medex I never went back to it. I've been using these Blistex baths for over a decade. They soothe chapped lips and unlike many lip balms don't seem designed to dry out your lips to force you to buy more. I don't know if you should do this, but I also find this lip balm to be soothing for burns and scrapes, to cover itching from mosquito bites, etc. I'm also eternally grateful for a bus driver with hemorrhoids who forgot his medicine. This thing is like gold. I put it on my chapped lips before bed and the next morning my lips are perfect. I take a drug that dries the skin very much. I've tried petroleum jelly, pure petroleum jelly, and lip balm with no success. My lips were always cracked, burned and bleeding. I live in Colorado and my lips get very dry in the winter. I've tried dozens of lip balms, both drug and department store, and this one is the best. It's hard to find in stores so I stock up on Revain. I like that it's slightly medicinal and has a scent. I fly a lot on planes and I always take this with me to wet my nose in case there's a bad smell. I highly recommend this product.

What can I say? This is Lip Medex and is still the best for healing chapped lips and preventing cracking. I gave the fragrance 4 stars out of 5 simply because it has a somewhat "medicinal" taste and smell. Unlike the great Blistex Stick Balms, this isn't a pretty lip product. It comes in a small jar. So if dipping your finger in to get something for your lips feels uncomfortable, this is NOT the product for you. I have rather large lips that I try to take care of. I really dislike most lip balms as I feel like I have to keep reapplying them and they seem to dry out my lips even more.
