These are great slippers, a little pricey. I removed the bows on the straps. The straps are too difficult for my 4 year old daughter to put on on her own so I still have to help her.

We usually like Bloch products for my daughter's dance classes and her tap teacher specially ordered these Mary Jane tap shoes. Unfortunately, the screws that hold the heel caps on our pair are defective. The screws are too small and fell out the first time they were tightened in class. I'm still looking for the perfect toddler tap shoe but this one is pretty good. We tried the tie and button versions first and my daughter always needed help tying or buttoning, so we went with these hoping she could button them up herself. The buckles on them are quite uncomfortable, but she can do it herself with practice. (My husband can't button them at all though.) The little bow slips easily but can be taken off. We loved it but it didn't work no matter what size we bought. The heel slides up and down no matter how tight the strap is. The strap is not your traditional buckle style, instead you slide it into the buckle and there is a latch at the bottom that keeps the strap in place. We loved them, but they just didn't work for us. They appear to be very well made, down to the elastic attachment of the strap to the shoe. I'm not sure how long it will last with weekly use. Unfortunately I had to send them
