Great hitch that makes traveling over rough terrain so much easier

Never used another but this hitch made a world of difference towing an 11,000lb closed trailer for 1,200 miles per turn. We can say it's worth its weight in gold, but it's bloody heavy and gold is expensive!

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Updates

Longer set screws may be required for a robust construction

I have upgraded from the included Class 5 to Class 8 parts for confidence when towing a trailer up to 20,000lbs. Also had to purchase longer bolt kits as supplied. didn't reach the edge of my toy cart frame on the pendulum controls.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Adjustment key too short

Works reasonably well once adjusted, however adjustment is a problem due to the short 'key' supplied and the rigidity of the axle and rods. Buy yourself a large switch, albeit from a port freight, for more leverage. Should, but doesn't come with the ball.

Pros
  • Fair performance
Cons
  • Modern

Note that this is a 2.5 " hitch.

This device is highly recommended and does what it is supposed to do. I bought this hitch to replace a Reese hitch that couldn't carry a trailer (a bar just fell off due to construction). Zerk grease fittings make hitch maintenance easy. I didn't like the design of the BlueOx cam chain so I reused the Reese block which has a standard and much easier to use design.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • A few little things

No more worries - tow products and winches

I really liked my Equal-I-zer WD hitch but the RV dealer sold me a hitch that is rated 1200/12000 which is the weight of an empty one Followers equals followers. . Fully loaded our trailer has a nose weight of 1700 and a towing capacity of 9980. So my old hitch doesn't work. I looked around and settled on Equilizer 1600. Not enough. Found a Blue Bull with a rating of 2000/20000. I love it. Easy to use and now I don't have to worry anymore. Highly recommended.

IF YOU EVER PLAN TO DRIVE A TRAILER, JUST BUY IT. POSSIBLE BEST OFFER.

GREAT PRODUCT. BEST PRICE. I USE IT TO CARRY A TRAILER WITH MY POLICE CAR. THERE ARE OTHERS ON THE MARKET INCLUDING LIGHT VERSIONS MADE BY THE SAME COMPANY BUT YOU SHOULD ALWAYS BUY THE HEAVY DUTY DEVICES AND THEY COST THE SAME PRICE. It was the best I could find, a capacity of 20,000. It's hard to find a modern passenger truck that's rated for a heavy trailer, but my old class 6 classic utility vehicle can haul more and that helps it have a smoother, more stable ride.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • something different

Comes with a 2.5 x 2.5 stem which is not standard on trucks

So I got this stabilizer bar kit about a month ago. I opened the box and everything was there everything is good so tonight I set up the truck and trailer and prepared to tow the closed trailer on a long journey and WOW! I have a 2.5 x 2.5" shaft in the box which is non standard and will not power my F-250 6.0 Diesel Factory 2" x 2". Hitch oh my god I was pissed so I went to the blue ox website and they even have an after hours phone number that left a message and the blue ox lady called meโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak

TOW THE ANIMAL! Buy this one and tame the toughest followers

The Blue Bull drew me in from the start and I've been trying to find one I like better. The price was a bit higher than some other brands but in the end I think it was worth it. We bought 2,000 pound bars because our trailer had a 1,700 pound drawbar. We towed our toy dump truck at night on country roads, on slippery roads and bumpy roads, over numerous railroad tracks and through town. The pendant didn't budge or move an inch. My wife followed me and kept calling me to ask if everything wasโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Out of style
