🖌️ BlueHeronArts Thin Mulberry Paper #1 for Chinese Painting or Sumi-e: Superior Quality, 13" X 17" - 30 Sheets Review

I bought this paper for an art magazine. It is very similar to rice paper but does not warp or wrinkle when applied to an aqueous medium. I used stencil spray paints and really liked the result. Your design will transfer to the other side of the paper, but since I added part of this sheet as a page to my journal, I didn't care. It is surprisingly strong and at the same time almost transparent. Cool product!

Some of my sheets were crumpled but I use the wet paper method so they don't interfere with my process. Remember, this is possible if the integrity of the entire sheet is a priority for your art. The rest of the paper works great. This is a great price (for the purchase price) for mulberry paper. I am ultimately happy with my purchase.

Mulberry Paper is my favorite ink paper. This is a nice durable paper that will stand up to a lot of moisture. I mainly paint landscapes, and I need not only strong paper, but also paper thin enough to fit into Asian scrolls. This paper fully meets my requirements. Also, Blue Heron Arts is a great company to buy Asian art. The owner is fantastic. I buy most of my supplies from BHA.

that I didn't draw directly on this paper, I just used it for Suminagashi. He did a very good job. It soaked up ink very quickly (no sizing), was easy to handle when wet, and seemed fairly durable when wet (no tearing or falling apart like paper hosho!). It's not too fibrous, so anyone who wants smooth paper can use it. It is light cream in color and has two deckle edges. Mine came with very slight creases at the corners of the roll, but for my purpose that wasn't a problem. i love this paper
