They sit perfectly and firmly. I use them on the rear badge on a 2004 BMW 330I. The front emblem uses large black grommets.

The item fitted perfectly. Delivery took more than a month but it should have been 2 days. I tried several times to cancel the order but it was not cancelled. Finally they showed up unexpectedly. But they work

These are the same bushings I bought when replacing the front emblem on my 350i. So I assumed they would work with my rear emblem. They were too small for holes. I should have taken the black sockets. I ended up reusing the old black grommets, which worked quite well.

Finally! I pre ordered what I thought I needed but this is what I really needed for a 2000 BMW 323i E46. This is for the trunk emblem and is slightly smaller than the hood emblem (as are the grommets). We tried everything to fit these others, but in the end we decided to throw them and these new ones out. They appeared immediately and everything was done in 60 seconds.
