If you are using screw caps on the frame you will need to order a longer length. Otherwise these fit perfectly. I used for the front.

These bolts are not suitable for attaching license plates to the frame. Only for number plates, the screws are very short. If you have an accessory like the Bump Shox license plate frame, it won't work. 8 bucks down the drain

I used these to replace the original rear number plate screws on my 12 year old 328xi. The old screws were badly rusted, probably because I used a metal anchor that caught water, road salt and dirt.

Helped to fix my license plate to my new bracket. Fits perfectly on the bracket. I had to add a small washer to secure my very old number plate, the holes got bigger and rounded. But those bolts were long enough to accommodate washers.
