Solid Single Core Wire 1007 18 AWG Hook-Up Wire: Solid tinned copper conductor with a PVC sheath. Good abrasion resistance and resistance to substances such as oil,solvents and chemicals: PVC Insulation that can withstand heats of up to +105°C. Easy handling,stripping,and termination: Low-fray design. Flame retardant: VW-1. This hook-up wire is recommended for internal wiring of electrical or electronic equipment.

Insulation melts into electrical

If you just plug it into a breadboard it might work, but it's not for soldering. When I cut, strip and bend the end to solder it to the pin, the insulation melts enough to expose the bare wire and it looks pretty silly.

Somewhat bulky for guitar wiring

Don't get me wrong. This is a great cable for connecting guitars. The problem is that the insulation is so thick that it takes up space very quickly and you end up trying to shove it into the cavity of the pot. I recommend a smaller gauge for guitar wiring.

Fantastic value for money - Electric Cable

The description is correct and works perfectly. Because it's solid wire, it's best used in internal circuitry or other applications where you won't be working with it all the time (stranded wire is better for this purpose). Tinned wires make soldering easier. Fantastic value for money!
