Bobbins with threads

These larger coils are great. Just the right size for crocheting. They are strong, translucent, and hold the thread in place when I need to change color.

Pros
  • Sewing accessories and consumables
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

It's easier to move the spools than to untie the knots!

This is 3.5 inches. They go great with Wayuu bags and belts. They do a really good job of keeping the threads from getting tangled. You'll have to untangle the threads, but this makes it so much easier! I use the smaller size for tatting and that works great too.

Pros
  • Sewing
Cons
  • Very expensive

They work!

I knit, do kumihimo, and do other activities where I don't want my threads or fibers to get tangled. Different sizes of coils work very well. If you "helped" a child of restless age - watch your total number of coils! They love opening and closing them. It doesn't seem to hurt them, but they might go away.

Pros
  • Spools
Cons
  • Crumpled wrapper
