There are many conflicting opinions about waterproofing so I thought I'd add my two cents. We ordered these boots for our 16 month old son. We live in Seattle and the kid needs comfortable waterproof boots. Add to that the fact that baby has thick calves, so many high-knee boots just won't put her on without a lot of work and discomfort.
