Very well built should last for years. The screw tore open the cork a little at one end. VERY easy to use!

The corkscrew doesn't feel as smooth as I expected and it takes a bit of muscle to get the screw into the cork but so far all corks come out of the bottles safely and relatively easily. I would recommend this corkscrew for personal use but not as a gift.

I was looking for different types of corkscrews for our wine bar's corkscrew and bought a two stage chrome corkscrew and a chrome cellar type corkscrew. While not the cheapest, the quality is high and they are very durable. Easy to use. They don't have gaps or other flaws like cheaper models. I recommend both.

I chose this corkscrew because the gears are covered by the wings. There was one bottle I had a hard time opening with my old corkscrew and not paying attention to where my fingers were as I pulled the wings down as hard as I could. Ouch! My fingers are cut off!
