Simply not. in vise

Well the magnets are too weak to hold on a load clamp in the docks. Bought for gunsmith. The inner surface is still quite hard. Probably hard enough to ruin a wooden stock if the vise is tight enough to properly tighten the scope. I used duct tape to hold them in place until I found a better solution. I wouldn't order them again if they were free.

Pros
  • CONSTRUCTION: Specially designed V-shaped surface and nose can hold and protect round or hexagonal work pieces and support flat work pieces during clamping.
Cons
  • A little torn

The product is of very poor quality.

The quality of the product is not optimal. The magnets do not close flush with the liners, which means that the liners do not close in parallel, sometimes "crooked" closing. Inserts may be appropriate for some jobs where accuracy is not critical. However, if they are rated for a 3" vise, they are usually the vise size used for finer work. Very poor workmanship, sharp and scratchy edges, you can cut yourself with it. not worth your money.

Pros
  • BENEFITS: Strong built-in magnets hold vise jaws securely in place.
Cons
  • Available only in white

Magnets don't hold vise well

The concept of these seals is good, but the execution is very marginal. Specifically, they use very small magnets that absolutely cannot hold the pads in an iron vise. Once the vise is released, the pads will fall off. They would hold if larger rare earth magnets were used. An additional problem with them is that the jaw that fits over the top of the vise jaws is very narrow and tends to wobble, making the washers even easier to fall out with normal use. Not worth returning them, I'll try to…

Pros
  • APPLICATIONS: Magnetic vise jaws are great for a variety of vise including vise, bench vise, milling clamp, drill vise and so on.
