Works as expected for USB cable

Used this to connect a pair of WD MyPassport drives to my Lenovo laptop which only has a USB-A port and a USB-C port . So having USB-C on one end helps to give me options. I haven't had any speed or performance issues so this should be a good choice if you're looking for this type of cable.

Pros
  • High speed data transfer
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Works as well as the included OEM cables

I need this cable to replace my WD USB drive. So far in my testing, this cable works just as well and just as fast as the OEM cable. The price is reasonable for this cable. There is nothing more to write about this. I will come back to update my review if anything changes in my opinion.

Pros
  • Compatibility
Cons
  • Disappear

There is nothing more to write about this. I will come back to update my review if anything changes in my opinion.

Cons

Convenient but no performance boost on older devices

Allows me to connect a portable external hard drive directly to my 2020 MacBook Pro without a hub. I used the BlackMagic Speed Test with two different drives and the read and write performance was the same when connected to my docking station via USB 3 and when connected directly to a MacBook with this cable. So it's fine if I'm carrying an external drive for backup or video but don't want to carry a hub around, but it's no faster. Still 5 stars as it works as it should and delivers the widest…

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Expensive

Works great with your portable hard drives

I tested this on a Seagate Expansion 4TB portable hard drive and a 12TB WD_Black and both worked fine. I still have their old USB Micro-B to USB-A cables, but now with the latest modern laptops (like the MacBook) you can't use these cables unless you have a hub. I tested it with my HP Specter x360 13". Unlike the older thicker chords, this one is smoother, but because it's so short it's better suited to small portable hard drives than full drives. Update: I have it too Tested on my WD_Black 5TB

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
