Battery life always seems fairly short, not as many uses on a single charge as I would expect from a device. Only used the device about 80 times in two months. Earlier this week, after fully charging the battery, the device stopped heating the coil. I then decided to try and clean the accumulated dirt from the coil, but as soon as it was lightly touched it immediately crumbled, rendering the device inoperable and unusable. Not worth the cost IMO.

This is AWESOME! I got it as a present for my fiancé. He tours with a famous band in different cities/states for months. During our daily phone calls, I constantly hear him flickering his lighter when the wind blows, or his one-handed punches that only smoke out half a cigarette. This makes a good gift or "trial" to show someone an electric lighter, but only if you don't smoke small joints. I don't see myself as a normal thing. I would give 5 stars if my husband didn't have to keep charging the thing. I bought this lighter as a gift for my husband who smokes 2 packs a day and works for a tobacco company. When he opened it he was delighted and used it immediately. He placed it on the charger to make sure it was fully charged and wouldn't outlast half a pack of cigarettes. Very disappointing. We loved the concept of the lighter as well as its sleek looks and design. So now he has it at home and can't even show it.

I like the idea behind this product. This makes lighting in windy areas a breeze. The compact size is fantastic but getting the cigarette right up to the burner is a bit tricky as it fits almost exactly the size of the end of the cigarette. When it's dark outside it's also difficult to know which side to use as there are no noticeable markings. I don't smoke but I like setting off fireworks and the biggest problem I have is that on windy days even a strong BBQ lighter doesn't have an even flame to light the fuse.
