Great! I use a French press all the time, and if like me you're trying to be REALLY careful with extremely thin glass, you know there's going to be an "oops" moment at some point and you'll try to get it fast a new. This little invention stops the panic. It is made of plastic, does not contain BPA. And those "Oops" moments are now a thing of the past. worth your money!

The pressing part has a rubber seal which needs to be flipped to one side or the other to press or remove. He doesn't clean it. You either have to pull hard to lift it up or pull hard to push it down. You can imagine this will be a problem when filled with coffee, or it may break "unbreakable" (yes, of course) glass. I won't even use it - instead I'll buy a Bodum that I have experience with and it runs MUCH smoother. Not worth the price saving

I like this press. It's enough for me to have a cup of coffee whenever I want and not waste too much. It's easy to disassemble, and unlike some other reviews, I haven't had any issues with bits breaking. Then I carefully unscrew the parts and wash them by hand. It's not too thin and the coffee hasn't left any marks on the plastic container yet. The last scent is gone unless I use it for a day or two (which is rare!) and it looks good next to my silver travel mug.

I bought this in March 2011 and it worked fine for a while. I used it about 2-3 times a week and didn't put it in the dishwasher so it would NOT be abused. After about 7 months it started leaking a little from the bottom when I squeezed it. I decided to order a Bonjour glass carafe to replace as I've had no issues with anything else. It's January now and all the press has collapsed. It looks like the heat from the hot water was too much for him, causing the plastic to crack. I don't understand…

I read a lot of reviews and wanted to give my two cents. I've broken so many glass coffee makers that I bought one of these. It says 3 cups because it's a "French" press and they drink Demitasse in cups of strong coffee. I make mine with a little more coffee grounds and then add hot water to my cup to fill the cup however I like.
