Again, the item shown is not what you get. I ordered this because it showed it had a keychain. They sent me this with a plastic carabiner which I didn't want. It's not worth sending back and I really think these companies rely on it. Anyway, if you want the one with the cheap plastic carabiner, this is for you. If you need a keychain, look elsewhere.

This has to be the best braided line cutter ever! If you've used a braid and had to cut it, you know that carefully cutting such a thin line is a real headache. After trying everything I had on hand, 3 fly fishing scissors and 3 pliers, I ordered these as a last resort. I still don't know how it does it, but it cuts braids quickly and cleanly and will work with any other type of line as well. I have two now!

I would like to give that five stars but after only two trips in salt water on my kayak the screws on the back have rusted. It doesn't affect performance in any way and I really like it. I rinse them with fresh water immediately when I'm done fishing, but they still rust, I can replace the screws with better ones if I find them. Photo after 2 rides. However, I still enjoy them and highly recommend them to cut cleanly and quickly.

Good product, fast shipping but product not as advertised. Please update your product image. I bought this item (at a higher price, not less) on purpose because I wanted a model with a stainless steel ring and NO plastic clip. Two goods came with a plastic clip. Paid two extra dollars for each item for free. I've been using them for years. They are completely blunt and tear my braid. The new ones don't cut as well and now come with a cheap plastic clip. Hope it doesn't break right away.

I've been fishing almost exclusively with braid lately and have had trouble with many of the cuts I've tried. These cutters are AWESOME! I need two things; Fast and accurate hooking when changing tackle as well as the ability to get a good and firm hook against a knot on hooks or bait. This simple device delivers both every time. I fish from a kayak and try to keep gear to a minimum. This is now the standard set for every trip and I buy an extra set to make sure I always have it on hand.

Have been using them for a while now. I've seen people complain that they are rusty. I fish in salt water and have not seen any rust/corrosion/wear and tear on these shears. There's a one-year warranty, so use those if they rust on yours. I use brain, mono and fluro. These scissors cut through everything I use like a hot knife through butter. I attached them to a carabiner for easy attachment to a belt loop and carrying in my back pocket. They come to a chord that comes out like a roulette…

Great for any angler! My husband and son use them all the time and they are holding up very well. They said they could easily cut braids (a type of cord that's usually harder to cut). They are small and compact and can be slipped into your bag or small tackle box when fishing from a kayak. They have a retractable cord but my boys didn't use it but would have thought it handy. I figured they would attach it to something so it doesn't get lost, but so far so good. Would I buy again if they lose…
