For several months we have endured the slamming of the old rinse aid door. It was such a cheap and easy fix and anyone can do it. Several components in our dishwasher failed after about 9 years of use. The rinse aid flap appeared to work but was easy to open and diluted the rinse aid significantly. A loose door latch is a minor design issue, but easy enough to replace. It didn't fit exactly as my door appeared to be identical except it didn't have the round hole that this part has.
