Great Tile Chopper

3 days of hard punching a room full of 50 year old tiles from a concrete base. Much of it crumbled rather than crumbled. I've tried a few different tools and bits, this bit and an XtremepowerUS Deluxe 1200W Electric Rock Drill (and 3 days of hard work) did the trick. Highly recommend and will definitely buy if I need to do it again.

Great tool: chisel

I used it to remove all the tiles in the bathroom. The tile was from 1940 and had been placed on top of a thick layer of mortar, so I had to grind it into powder to get it loose from the wall. This chisel will do it much quicker than my hand. My only disappointment was how quickly the chisel lost its sharpness. I ended up buying a few pieces of this tool to get the job done. If you have a grinder I'm sure you can re-sharpen it.

  • The best in its niche

Bought on another recommendation. My experience is great.

I was trying to remove tiles from a concrete floor. You can read my review of the DeWalt impact drill. That was great. But what use is a hammer drill without a chisel. People said that's what you get. They commented that it was sharp and just right for putting a chisel under the tile and letting it rise. Trust the reviews. That's what you get. It made an incredibly tedious job easier. This is a chisel with a DeWalt perforator. The perfect combination

Just what you need to dismantle the tiles.

This chisel, along with my Dewalt DW25213 SDS impact drill (impact mode only), quickly removed about 100 square feet of ceramic tile during a kitchen renovation project. The tile was grouted onto a plywood subfloor (it was strong - never cracked in 20 years) but I was able to remove it completely in about 90 minutes without damaging the plywood. Please read my reviews of the Makita GA7020 angle grinder, Makita dust collector 195386-6, and Concord Blades GCL070AHP diamond cup wheel for…
